In the final design, the end result is an attractive looking design that was elevated from their old existing site. With fun elements such as the Lair Locations being cards, to resemble playing cards, they bring the attractive qualities that make up Dragon's Lair Comics & Fantasy ®.

The Final Design

In the creation of this stylescape, I focused on a modern, community, and fantasy approach. This stylescape has a sleeker, modern feel with the incorporation of image overlays. While keeping the fantasy in this approach, I used a Celtic, gothic font for the major headings that ties in with the logo and has a cleaner feel. This stylescape has more breathing room and space within sections. To bring in the community element, having photos of people in the store can be added in to represent Dragon's Lair. Keeping the two primary colors of the brand, I added a third color, deep gray, that would accent well against the two colors. The dark background works with the request on staying away from stark white while also tying in with the colors to make them stand out.

Before

Dragon's Lair Comics & Fantasy ® was started by founder David Wheeler on a mission to have a space where people in the community who enjoy gaming, read comics, watch anime, and love fantasy. This space provides opportunities for people to connect, interact and meet new people who also have the same common interests. It's a safe space and inclusive to all who come. People will know they are getting high quality products while also being around high quality people.

This company, which has multiple locations across Texas and a location in Ohio, wanted to update their home website and location's websites to be more current while still maintaining the vibe that best represents Dragon's Lair.
